'Sacrificial Offering'
It is believed that Jesus threw a tantrum in a temple. His tantrum was directed at moneychangers, entrepeneurs, and corporate-types, those that represented capitalism of His day. I can totally relate to how Jesus felt, although I don't possess the power it would take to bring down the leviathan that is capitalism. I want so badly to run through the "streets" of Wall Street overturning the tables of the moneychangers, throwing around the cages of the pigeonsellers and goatkeepers, shaking the shakels of hedge fund and derivatives dealers, while screaming wildly about how wasteful capitalism really is. When will this madness end?!
I wonder what Jesus expected to accomplish? Did He just want the capitalism to happen outside of the temple? Or did He want to completely do away with the greed that He was seeing? It would take a revolution to overthrow our corporate socialist state known as capitalism. Capitalism IS socialism for corporations! And the socialism is funded by the taxpayers. I really do wish that we could see a return of Jesus to this earth, now, so that I could witness the tantrum that he would throw at the waste of Wall Street and capitalism. I would love to see another coming of Jesus the Revolutionary!
But my patience is growing thin as I watch dishonest, greedy people make billions at the expense of others. Capitalism is the modern day equivalent of the den of thieves, and the thieves in the den are protected by laws put into place by politicians to protect them from being held accountable for their dastardly deeds. Dare I say that the politicians that pass the laws probably profit in some way for the protection they provide to the thieves in the den.
I am totally in support of the free market system that we have, but I am totally opposed to the greed of capitalism. I am also opposed to huge banks that are allowed to gamble with its depositor's monies and are protected by laws and bailed out with taxpayer's money if failure is the result of the gambling. That is wrong on so many levels. If a person (or persons) is doing something positive for a society, then they should be rewarded with profit, for doing good. But when wall-street-types are contributing absolutely nothing to our society, are causing economic collapse of entire industries for their own profit, then jail time is in order and "the monies stripped from their possession". At the very least, they should be extradited to a deserted island or atoll somewhere far away from any society with one packet of Skittles and a 12 oz. bottle of water. Maybe then, they might realize that their greed benefited no one but themselves. That is my opinion!

'New Texas Flag'
*One Amongst Many.
I was born and raised in Texas. I moved out of Texas two weeks after George Troubleyou Bush was inaugurated as the Governor, so dismayed was I at the outcome of the election in November, 1994. It took a gigantic amount of ignorance to walk into the voting booth and vote George W. Bush into office. Any office! What's in a name? For George W. Bush, everything. Much to my shock and horror, I heard quite a few people (young and old alike) tell me that they were voting for the Bush that was a former President of the United States (number forty-one). Really. And they believed it! And there were those that knew he was one of the sons, but believed the horrible lies that his campaign spread about Ann Richards (she was a lesbian; an alcoholic; an alcoholic atheist lesbian that was going to go to every home and take all guns away from the citizens and while doing so was going to give everyone an abortion, but first, she would raise taxes). If that kind of ignorance was rated on a scale of 1 to 10, it would receive a 200. It should come as no surprise to anyone that Texas ranks in the lower percentile for education.
Speaking of political campaigns, the only thing that "the iron triangle" did strategically well was take advantage of the ignorance of the voters. Too bad they didn't tap into the intelligence of the voters, instead. In carlWorld, that 1994 election in Texas will always be seen as the lowest of political lows. A dumbing down of the political process. And that "dumbing down" political strategy was used for each of George W. Bush's subsequent campaigns. The way of The Republican Party (it's more like a circus than a party).
Anyway, that was then, this is now. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Texas still ranks in the lower percentile for education. George W. Bush was the most wasteful President our country has had in its 233+ years. Circus Master for the Ignorant, indeed. Thank you, Texas. And thank those five outlaw activist judges in 2000. But keep this in mind, the next time Texas tries to give us another George Troubleyou Bush, say 'no thanks'. Note to Texas: Keep your mess in Texas, don't mess with the rest of us! The "lone star state" mentality is probably at the root of the problem. All Texans should travel out to west Texas on a clear night and look up. There is no such thing as a lone star. One amongst many. Many, many, many. Texas may be one of the biggest, but it is not the brightest.
In carlWorld, where I am King, this is the flag of Texas.!

'Two Ducks on Water'
Two ducks on water, one large, one small
Beads of water from their backs do fall
The water is warmed by the sun in a box
Once on shore, they should look out for the fox
The water looks choppy, an affect of the art
There's no storm visible on the weather chart
These ducks look happy, they're certainly cute
But this painting is child-like, the point is moot
I wonder if these ducks are on a pond or a lake
A good roasted dinner either one would make
I hope that doesn't happen, it's only a thought
Most roasted ducks, I believe, are store bought
Back to the smiles that these ducks do bring
I bet that the season is probably spring
It might be summer, I doubt that it's fall
Two ducks on water, one large, one small

'The Velvet Mouthpiece'
Let me begin by stating that I voted for Barack Obama and have supported his job as President up to this point, even though I have not agreed with every decision he has made. But I'm finding his decision to allow new oil drilling incredibly hard to swallow. Actually, I'm outraged! I have said this before on this blog, and I will say it again:
Extraction of oil
From under the soil
Will cause this earth to spoil
I believe that our earth has a natural cooling system; the oil that we extract from under the ground is THE lubricating coolant for this planet. (Imagine for a moment that this earth is like the engine in a car. If the car's engine develops an oil leak and the leaked oil is not replaced, eventually all of the oil will be used up, the engine will seriously overheat and be damaged beyond repair.) The lubricant/coolant is just part of this earth's cooling system. Coal is this earth's insulation, and we're mining it into nonexistence, just so that a few folks on this earth can make lots of money. We have other ways of heating our homes and making energy. Coal is not a clean energy, no matter what any lobbyist or politician tells us. So we the humans are extracting our earth's lubricant and it is not being replaced, and we the humans are stripping the insulation that is coal from this earth, and we wonder what is causing climate change.? And our current President has made a decision to allow MORE drilling, supposedly to "end" our dependence on foreign oil.
Bullshit!!!
I say that it is just a very poor decision. A very poor political decision! But now that this has opened my eyes, I have decided to look at his accomplishments, thus far in his presidency. The Health Care Reform Bill that was just passed was modeled after a 1994 version that the conservative Heritage Foundation had proposed. So this Congress passed a sixteen-year-old conservative Republican version of health care reform. And this decision to open more territories for oil drilling is exactly what The Republicans chanted during the last campaign season, "Drill, Baby, Drill!". I did not see this coming, because I was looking for his socialist's ways that the teabaggers have been claiming. Turns out, he is a continuation of those wasteful eight years of Capitalist Republican George Troubleyou Bush. There is nothing socialist about Barack Obama; he is a capitalist, through and through.
This decision to do more oil drilling does NOT represent progress!
