'The Velvet Mouthpiece'

I have not had much to say, lately.  It's not that there isn't anything to talk about, but I believe our society is incredibly broken, given all of the bloodshed and hypocrisy, waste and greed.  I have said that I am bitter on this blog quite a few times.  Looking at how broken we are, where on earth would one start?  I mean, do you make a list of things that are broken and then just start at number one?  What if number three is a little more important than number one and number two certainly isn't that pressing?  Maybe number one is too big of a task for any one person.  Or do we just sit back and watch broken governments "talk" about the brokenness while creating more?

I want to start a new socio-political movement.  Seriously!  My new movement will be for citizens who are not affiliated with any other political movement.  That means that its members and those that follow have NO affiliation with any other socio-political movement.  My Movement will be a progressive liberal organization whose main goal is to bring about a positive societal ideological shift in the name of world peace and freedom from the confines of religion.  The "progressive" part of My Movement will be to make "progress" in ending the wars of mankind on this earth as we know it.  The "liberal" part means no more status quo.  Mankind has brought about a lot of death and destruction on this earth and we appear stuck in a dysfunctional cycle of waste.

In my opinion, the only way to break this cycle of waste is for a socio-political revolution for peace that is worldwide.  That is why I want to start a new socio-political movement to call my very own.  Because, from where we are at today, as a society, there is only one direction to go, and that is up!  We are at rock bottom!  But I also think that we are at a crossroad.  This is a very important time for responsible governing, of which I haven't seen much lately (I mean the past ten years).  I expect to make progress on My Plan soon.  You can read about the progress here, with future posts on this blog, for the time being.

'The Earth, as Candle'

The oil is not going to last forever, and when we humans reach the "bottom of the tank", our earth will no longer have its lubricant that acts as a coolant for this planet.  We're on the hot road to hell, as far as oil drilling is concerned, and if we don't change our ways soon, life on this earth is indeed going to become very difficult.

 I think we are in the midst of changing times.  We need to see a great societal ideological shift away from the same "business as usual" attitude that has gripped our society for quite some time now.  Part of this shift should be in the area of power creation for our planes, trains, autos, buses, boats, and all of our buildings.  The changing times means that we will stop using fossil fuels (mostly).  I say, "Bring it on!"

 That would mean that any human on this earth that relies on the oil industry as its sole source of income should find a new industry for financial income.  Get a new job, or start a new business!  I think that the wind and solar energy industries are the way to go.  And there will be the industries that are needed to build the new technology that will power all of our transportation sources.  We will have a lot of retrofitting to do.

This latest oil disaster is shocking.  But mankind's complacency and lack of ingenuity is more shocking!  It is due to the lack of ingenuity, the complacency, and greed for profits that we will see lots of death of wildlife and destruction of ecosystems caused by this BP/Gulf of Mexico oil disaster that is now unfolding before our very eyes.  But besides the greed, the complacency, and the lack of ingenuity, BP's attitude of "suck it from every crevice on earth" is incredibly irresponsible and careless.  So this oil disaster that is happening in the Gulf of Mexico should surprise no one.  Shock, yes; surprise, no.

The oil won't last forever.

The time for change is NOW!

Who will speak for peace?

I mean, truly speak out on behalf of world peace.

And when?
