'N.R.I.:  New Republican Icon'

This election should be a referendum on The Republican Party.  Not just for those long, wasteful, destructive eight years of George Troubleyou Bush, but also for the past two wasteful years of do-nothing, just-say-no, antiAmerican conduct of power and misleadership.  A referendum on The Republican Party would serve as a mandate for accountability for their irresponsible wasteful destructiveness.

DesertScene.

Vote straight Democratic Party on the November, 2012 ballot.

Lest we not forget about those long, wasteful, destructive eight years!

EndConservativeRule.

Conservatives are quick to paint "liberals" as bad for our Country, but a more honest and truthful analogy is that Conservatives have done more damage and destruction to our society throughout my lifetime than any liberals have.  Liberals are also referred to disdainfully by Conservatives as "progressives", which is fitting and should actually be viewed as a compliment, given that Liberals want to "make progress" for the greater good of our Country and its citizens.  Conservatives have brought us an enormous amount of death and debt, while at the same time blaming others for their wasteful destructiveness.  This election is the time to END CONSERVATIVE RULE by bringing an end to the power of the true destructors of our society.  The Republican Party is the safe house for the real destructors, the Conservatives.

END CONSERVATIVE RULE!!!

Vote straight Democratic Party for 2012!

OctoberSurprise.

'October Surprise'

I was really hoping that we would see an October Surprise this election season, but I am starting to lose my hope since we are now half way through the month.  Maybe my dashing hopes are just due to impatience.  Or maybe I'm allowing my hopes to be dashed due to anxiety that The Republican Party is going to win this election by telling lies and deceiving a majority of voters, as they have for so many elections over the past thirty years.  Politics as usual, at least for The Republican Party, but the level of hypocrisy we are seeing this time around is absolutely mind-boggling.

My hope for an October Surprise was for an individual to come forth and talk to the people about the truths of the past ten years and I want this individual to point out exactly how wasteful and destructive The Republican Party has been for our society.  Every single Republican in Congress should be voted OUT OF OFFICE in November!  Not just because of those long, wasteful, destructive eight years of George Troubleyou Bush, but also for the past two years of their do-nothing, obstructionist, bring-no-jobs style of governance.  Remember, The Republican Party campaigned in 2010 with the mantra "jobs, jobs, jobs" and they have done nothing to bring more jobs, only obstructed any effort by President Obama, hoping the American people would place blame for the restrained job growth on the President.  The hypocrisy comes because they are blaming all of their wastefulness soley on President Obama.  Are they going to get away with this incredible deception?  Are they going to be successful, again, in another election by using lies,  fear, and hypocrisy to regain power?  Or will a majority of American citizens reject the wasteful, destructive, antiAmerican policies of The Republican Party next month?  Wiith the way things are going right now and because of the effects of the incredibly poor judgement of the Citizens' United ruling, I'm feeling a little pessimistic about overcoming the Republican deception that seems to be clouding up the truth.  Repeat the lies enough times that it sounds like the truth to the ignorant.

I want to have a stronger belief in the good of America, but The Republican Party represents all that is bad in our society and they have won elections before by relying on the ignorance of the voters.  That is the very same political strategy that is being used once again-- tap into the ignorance of the voters and hope that works for another election season.  Smoke and mirrors, just like at a circus.

Even though we are half way through this month, I am still hoping that we are going to be introduced to an October Surprise.  I'm hoping for a wise and thoughtful man who will have enough charisma and clarity to help bring about a peaceful revolution by way of the voting booth.  I hope he is able to convince a majority of voters to vote straight Democratic Party on the ballot.  My belief is that Conservative Rule is the root of all evil on this earth, and here in the U.S. of A., The Republican Party is the safe house for Conservatism and extremists, much like the Taliban is in Afghanistan.

'Woman in Winter'

These two paintings are the only two paintings that I have completed on paper.  I have a third painting on paper that was started, but never finished.  I really like what these images portray, or maybe I should say that I like the emotions they convey.  Both of these were accidental.  They both came about because I had too much excess paint on my brushes.  I have quite often titled my paintings before I begin the painting process, but not these two.  I have been delighted many times at the responses I have gotten from others when they see these two paintings.  While not intentional, I think these two paintings represent fire and ice.

'N.R.I.:  New Republican Icon'

The Republican Party should change its' icon from an elephant to a pig, for more honest representation of what this political party is all about.  The Republicans in Congress have been feeding at the trough of wastefulness and hypocrisy for a long time now, without any accountability, and voters that make up the "base" of this political party carry their ignorance into the voting booth every election like a badge of honor.

Now, here we are again, facing another major election and the Republican Party wants more power within our government.  Will a majority of voters look at the truth of their record of (mis)leadership?  For the first six years of George Troubleyou Bush's two terms, the Republicans in Congress gave him absolutely everything he asked for.  Not once was he told "no" to his reckless, wasteful spending spree.  Not once did the Republicans in Congress demand that any of his wasteful, reckless spending be paid for in advance.  Why wasn't The Republican Party the Party of No during George Troubleyou Bush's two terms?  If only the Republicans in Congress had been obstructionists during those long, wasteful, reckless eight years of Number Forty-Three, our society would not have experienced the most serious economic downturn since The Great Depression, and we would not still be experiencing the aftermath of the wasteful, reckless, irresponsible, disasterous misleadership of George Troubleyou Bush and his destructive Republican Party.

2012 is not the time to hand power or control back to the Republicans.  November, 2012 is an opportunity to hold The Republican Party accountable, not just for those long, wasteful, reckless eight years of George Troubleyou Bush's reign of disaster and irresponsibility, but also for the past two years of obstructionist, do-nothing, just-say-no-to-everything party platform.  Most Republicans in Congress (and some Democrats) possess inferior ideology that is destructive to our society.  The question is, will The Republican Party be held accountable?  We will most likely know the answer to that question on November Seventh, if not sooner.
